Nigeria U23s Star Junior Ajayi To Begin Training With Al Ahly Next Week
Published: August 21, 2016
Nigeria U23 international Junior Ajayi will fly out of Belo Horizonte, Brazil on Sunday, according to his Tunisian intermediary Mahmoud Ouaddeni .
The attacker, who has agreed a four-year deal with African powerhouse Al Ahly, will begin training with the Egyptian club in the next one week or so.
“Junior Ajayi will not return to Tunisia, he will travel to Nigeria today. After one week, he will come to Egypt to begin training with Al Ahly, ”said Ouaddeni to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ajayi, formerly with Tunisian club CS Sfaxien, had sparse playing opportunities at the Olympic Games due to an injury he picked up at a training camp in Atlanta before the Nigeria squad traveled to Brazil.
The 20-year-old was an unused substitute in the bronze medal game between Nigeria and Honduras on Saturday.
