Exclusive : Adanaspor Beat CSKA Moscow, Grasshopper In Race For Eduok; Striker Arrives In Turkey
Published: August 21, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that newly promoted Turkish Super Lig club Adanaspor are on the brink of announcing the capture of Emem Eduok.
Contrary to reports at home and abroad, the former Dolphins of Port Harcourt poster boy was not a free agent before agreeing terms with Adanaspor, with Esperance set to pocket an undisclosed sum for agreeing to shred their agreement with the Nigeria national-teamer before its expiration.
Russian champs CSKA Moscow targeted Emem Eduok to replace Ahmed Musa at the club, but the proposed deal hit a brick wall when the Sporting Director of the Muscovites insisted on running the rule over the striker at Esperance before offering him a contract.
It can also be revealed that Swiss Super League club Grasshopper had approached Esperance over the signing of Eduok on loan but the Tunisian club insisted on an outright sale, so the transfer was called off.
Eduok, who is already in Turkey, will pen a three-year deal tying him to Adanaspor until the summer of 2019, if he passes a routine medical examination.
The deal that took him to Adanaspor was brokered by Nigerian-based intermediary Ndubuisi Onyeali.
