Injured Man City Striker Iheanacho Doubtful For Tanzania Game

Kelechi Iheanacho is doubtful for Nigeria’s final African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Tanzania in Uyo next weekend after picking up an injury in Manchester City’s Champions League game with Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday night.
In his first start under manager Pep Guardiola, the Nigeria international was stretchered off in the 76th minute after picking up what appears to be a muscle injury.
The 19-year-old Iheanacho pulled up chasing a ball through and City medical staff arrived quickly to attend to him.
The attacker will undergo tests in the coming days to determine the severity of his injury and how long he will have to spend in the treatment room.
Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo appeared off the bench for City on the hour mark, his first appearance in the Champions League.
Man City qualified 6-0 on aggregate and will find out their opponents in the group stage on Thursday.
