Iorfa, Solanke In Line To Face Real Madrid Whizkid Odegaard, Make England U21 Squad
Published: August 25, 2016
Gareth Southgate has named two players of Nigerian descent in his 24-man squad for the upcoming UEFA European U21 Championship qualifier against Norway.
Dominic Iorfa (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Dominic Solanke (Chelsea) are in line to feature against the Scandinavians at the Colchester Community Stadium, having made the roster.
Iorfa and Solanke are not new call-ups to England’s U21 setup as both have played for the team in the past, with the former helping the Young Lions win the Toulon tournament in May.
The Wolves defender is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation, but his dad, ex-Super Eagles striker Dominic Iorfa, has informed this website that the stopper is not yet ready to play for the national team.
