Former Nigeria U17 invitee Jason Akiotu has signed a professional contract at Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have announced via their official webpage that the left back will remain at the club, though he flirted with Premier League champs Leicester City before penning the new deal that he was offered.
Born in Croydon 18 years ago, Akiotu has been on the books of Crystal Palace for the past eight years.
The defender helped Crystal Palace under-23 side secure a 1-0 win over Bristol City in the Professional Development League on Tuesday, playing 55 minutes of the contest at Ashton Gate.
He models his game after Bayern Munich star David Alaba.
