Published: September 12, 2016
Ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Zambia early next month, Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is in good form.
The young star is enjoying a career rival in the new season in Belgium, making the Team of the Week for his imperious display against Racing Genk in August, and scored for the second consecutive league game on Sunday afternoon.
With KAA Gent leading Lokeren 2-0 in the East Flemish derby, Moses Simon added more gloss to the scoreline when he scored his team’s third goal in the 70th minute.
Coach Vanhaezebrouck handed debuts to Nigeria international midfielders Anderson Esiti and Rabiu Ibrahim, the later coming off the bench in the 78th minute.
Simon has been involved in every single game so far in the Belgian First Division A after six rounds, logging 454 minutes in total.
