Man City, Arsenal Loanees Nwakalis Will Not Attend Burial Of Late Grandfather
Published: September 16, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali and former Golden Eaglets star Chidiebere Nwakali will miss the burial of their late grandfather Samuel Samson Nwakali, who passed away on Thursday, August 4.
Nwakali Senior will be buried on 24th September, a day after MVV travel to Almere City for game week eight in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, and twenty four hours before IK Start host Haugesund in the Norwegian top-flight.
As a result of these upcoming games, the two Nigeria youth internationals have not been permitted to travel to Eastern Nigeria to bid their final farewell to their granddad.
The burial programme will commence at St Mark’s Anglican Church Eziobodo in Owerri West Local Government Area before he is laid to rest.
Chidiebere and Kelechi have a special relationship with their paternal granddad as he took care of them after they lost their father Stone Nwakali some years back.
