Exclusive: Chelsea Young Star Aina Committed To England Youth Teams
Published: September 16, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Chelsea defender Ola Aina remains committed to England’s youth teams amid speculations in the local media that teammate John Obi Mikel might convince him to dump the European nation in the near future.
The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is that individuals close to the Nigeria Football Federation and Sports Ministry had approached Aina regarding committing his international future to the Super Eagles and his feedback was negative.
The 19-year-old Aina, who made his first-team debut for Chelsea in the new season, has caps for England U16, 17, U18, U19 and U20 national teams.
He has represented England in competitive fixtures and will need approval from Fifa if he decides to turn out for the Super Eagles in future.
