Exclusive : Why Liverpool Starlet Ejaria Rejected Manchester City & Manchester United
Published: September 17, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com can specially reveal that Ovie Ejaria was approached by Manchester City and Manchester United before Liverpool snapped up the Nigerian midfielder in 2014.
The Londoner spent nine years at Arsenal Academy before he ended his association with the club, penning a contract with the Reds following a successful trial, and had been on the radar of other teams in the Premier League and Championship.
Liverpool won the race for the signature of the talented teenager after assuring him that his development will be better managed at Anfield than Old Trafford and Etihad Stadium.
And true to their words, Ejaria is on the fringes of the Reds first team squad, with the midfielder involved in pre-season training and making the 18-man squad for the Premier League on Friday, September 16.
The 18-year-old was also on the wishlist of Chelsea prior to his move to Liverpool.
