Nigeria Waits : Gent Winger Moses Simon To Undergo Scan On Injury
Published: September 17, 2016
Gent winger Moses Simon will undergo a scan on Saturday to determine the extent of an injury he sustained during Thursday’s Europa League tie against Sporting Braga.
The Nigeria international had to be replaced in the 40th minute at Estádio Municipal de Braga after a rash tackle by Sporting Braga number three RosiÄ, and there are fears that he suffered a hamstring injury.
“Moses is going for a scan today. It’s a hamstring but the extent is still unknown, ” a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Depending on the result of the scan, Simon could be asked to rest for some few days or be sidelined for up to three weeks.
If doctors confirm our worst fears, the 21-year-old will not be able to participate in the World Cup qualifier against Zambia on October 9.
