Published: September 22, 2016
Oghenekaro Etebo has been omitted from the latest Super Eagles roster unveiled on Thursday though coach Rohr gave assurance that the CD Feirense striker would be invited to the meeting in Ndola on October 9.
The 20-year-old has stressed that his injury problems are over and he would not have honoured the call up if he had been invited due to circumstances beyond his control.
“I don’t know why I was not invited, but even if they call me I cannot come because of my residence card, but I will get it next month, ” said Oghenekaro Etebo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I resumed full training this week but hopefully I will be back in the next game.
“I believe, hopefully, we are going to do well in Zambia. ”
The former Warri Wolves star has played two competitive games for the senior national team, against Egypt in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.
