Watford Long-Range Specialist Guedioura Fires Warning Shot At Nigeria Ahead Showdown In Uyo
Published: October 12, 2016
Watford midfielder Adlène Guedioura is confident Algeria can qualify for the 2018 World Cup despite drawing their opening game against Cameroon on Sunday.
The long-range specialist is optimistic the Desert Foxes can get their qualifying campaign back on track with a win against the Super Eagles, who top the group thanks to their 2-1 win over Zambia in Ndola.
“It is a collective defeat, we must assume, do not bury us, nothing is lost,” Guedioura said in his post match comments, according to Le Buteur.
“There is still a lot of games to play, we will do everything to make amends against Nigeria in order to keep our chances of qualification intact.”
Three stars in the ranks of Watford could be on parade in Uyo, with Nigerian duo Isaac Success and Odion Ighalo in line to be called up for the match day two fixture.
