Former Nigeria U20 international Sammy Ameobi has won the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for December 2016.
Ameobi’s strike in Bolton Wanderers 4-0 rout of Gillingham won the poll, and he received 68 percent of the votes.
He picked the ball up in midfield, strode forward, then stepped inside on the edge of the box and clipped an unstoppable shot into the far corner.
To win the accolade, Ameobi saw off competition from Ian Henderson (Rochdale) and Gwion Edwards ( Peterborough).
