Freddie Ladapo, Akinde, Hope Akpan & Tom Adeyemi On Target In England
Published: January 14, 2017
Relegation-threatened Shrewsbury Town moved into 21st place in the English League One after a hard fought 1-0 victory over Bradford City at Greenhous Meadow.
Crystal Palace loanee Freddie Ladapo proved to be the Blues hero, netting the winner four minutes before the intermission, his first goal for the club since joining in the January transfer window.
Elsewhere, John Akinde netted his 18th league goal of the season but it was not enough, with Barnet losing 3-1 to Doncaster Rovers at the Hive Stadium. He opened scoring in the 13th minute.
Rotherham United registered only their fourth win of the season and they have to thank their Nigerian midfielder Tom Adeyemi for netting the winner against Norwich City. It finished 2-1.
Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan was on target for Blackburn Rovers in the 43rd minute but his team eventually lost 3-2 to Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
