Published: January 23, 2017
Nigeria U23 international Victor Osimhen is set for a spell on the sidelines, according to reports from the German press.
The Wolfsburg attacker did not participate in training on Sunday due to a knee complaint, and will have to see medics in the coming days so as to determine the severity of his injury.
The preliminary contract signed by the former Ultimate Strikers poster boy after the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup was activated when the January transfer window opened for business.
Wolfsburg paid Ultimate Strikers 3.5 million euros to acquire the ex-Golden Eaglets sensation.
Osimhen was operated on in November 2016.
