Former Hungary youth-team skipper Kenneth Otigba stole the show at Yeni Rize Åehir Stadium on Wednesday after scoring his third goal of the season and bagging an assist in Kasimpasa’s 3-2 win over Rizespor in the Turkish Cup.
Three Nigerian stars in the shape of Emem Eduok, Kenneth Otigba and Bright Edomwonyi started and put in a full shift, while Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona was presumably rested having made the bench.
Ex-Sturm Graz star Edomwonyi, gushed about the qualities of Otigba , with the defender keeping him quiet until the 65th minute when he netted his maiden goal in Rizespor colours.
“Kenneth Otigba is a good player and it was great playing against him, he is a strong defender and has skills, ” says
Edomwonyi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It was nice scoring my first goal for the team. We were three goals down because we made some defensive errors. ”
Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles invitee Edomwonyi has three appearances to his name for Rizespor since completing his switch from Sturm Graz on January 11.
