Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has left Nigeria national-teamer Odion Ighalo out of his 18-man squad for the trip to The Den, where they tackle Millwall in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.
As previously reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, the Italian gaffer is only being cautious as he doesn’t want the striker to pick up an injury before completing his transfer to a mysterious Chinese Super League team.
At the moment, Ighalo is patiently waiting in London, with Watford and the team from China yet to agree a transfer fee.
There is no place in the squad for former Nigeria U20 international Isaac Success, who is still recovering from a hamstring complaint, while Italy international of Nigerian descent Stefano Okaka will lead the Hornets frontline.
Watford Starting XI : Pantilimon (GK); Mariappa, Kaboul, Britos; Djédjé, Doucouré, Watson (c), Guedioura, Mason; Okaka, Sinclair
Substitutes : Gomes (GK), Prödl, Cathcart, Janmaat, Capoue, Cleverley, Deeney.
