Barcelona Beat Tunisian Club To Signature Of Ezekiel Bassey
Published: February 03, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that La Liga champions Barcelona beat an unnamed Tunisian club to the signature of Super Eagles winger Ezekiel Bassey.
The Enyimba loanee had been offered to the Tunisian club by a Nigerian intermediary but they kept dragging their feet on offering him a deal until news surfaced that he had signed for Barcelona.
The North Africans have not thrown in the towel in their pursuit of Ezekiel and are plotting a move for the 20-year-old in the summer when his loan deal with the Camp Nou side would have run out.
That said, Enyimba are optimistic that Barca will retain the services of Ezekiel and have informed via a press release that he has appended his signature to a two-and-a-half-year contract in total.
On the other hand, the Azulgranas have made it crystal clear that the Nigerian penned a five-month loan deal, with the option of a permanent move (two-year deal) in July.
