Ex-West Brom Striker Ideye Yet To Appear In China On Transfer Deadline Day
Published: February 28, 2017
Brown Ideye has failed to appear in China to link up with Tianjin Teda, few hours before the close of the Chinese transfer window.
The Nigeria international has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with Tianjin Teda, but both Olympiakos and the Chinese club have not yet announced his signing as a done deal.
Tianjin Teda chiefs have stated that Ideye is expected to arrive in Beijing on Wednesday morning, and will participate in three training sessions before their opening game of the season against Shandong Luneng.
They are not bothered about the fitness of the Nigerian as he has been active for Olympiakos since July 2016.
In truth, there are questions marks on the signing of Brown Ideye as the two African strikers expected to depart Tianjin Teda before the close of the transfer window, Mbaye Diagne (Senegal) and Malick Evouna (Gabon), trained with the club this morning.
