Published: April 27, 2024Nigeria forward Damola Ajayi scored his first hat-trick for Tottenham Hotspur U18s during their 5-3 win over West Bromwich Albion in an U18 Premier League fixture played at the Tottenham Hotspur Academy Spurs Lodge on Saturday afternoon.
Ajayi opened the scoring in the 6th minute,putting the ball home with a precise shot to the bottom right corner after combining with Nigerian midfielder Callum Olusesi.
With the scores at 2-1, the talented forward put Tottenham ahead in the 29th minute from the penalty spot, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way,after Olusesi was brought down in the penalty area.
Five minutes later, he bagged his hat trick, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot with a low shot, having been set up by Williams-Barnett who picked the ball up nicely after a shot was parried into his path.
Besides scoring his first hat trick against West Brom, he also scored more than once in an U18 Premier League fixture for the first time this season, netting a goal apiece in seven games before today.
The 18-year-old has scored 10 goals in the U18 Premier League this season and has 15 across all competitions, three of which he scored for the Development side in the Premier League 2.
