Seven Players Of Nigerian Descent In Line To Play For England At Fifa U20s Know World Cup Foes

On March 15, the draw for the 2017 Fifa Under 20 World Cup was held at Suwon Artrium, and some famous football personalities, including Diego Maradona, participated in the draw.
The Flying Eagles, captained by Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali, failed to qualify for one of the showpiece events on the Fifa football calendar, but there is still serious Nigerian interest, with as many as seven players of Nigerian descent in line to feature for England when the competition begins in South Korea.
Chelsea trio Fikayo Tomori, Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham, Liverpool duo Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo, Tottenham Hotspur starlet Josh Onomah and Everton wonderkid Ademola Lookman are eligible to represent the Young Lions.
Paul Simpson’s side have been drawn against African team Guinea, South Korea and South American powerhouse Argentina in Group A of the Fifa U20 World Cup.
England play their first game in the tourney against Argentina at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Jeonju on May 20 and wrap up group play six days later against the hosts.
