Etebo Goes Into Super Eagles Duty In Good Form, Gives Anniversary Gift To Feirense
Published: March 19, 2017
Oghenekaro Etebo will go into Super Eagles duty in good form after finding the back of the net in CD Feirense’s 3-2 win over Chaves at Estádio Marcolino de Castro on Sunday evening.
The visitors were two goals ahead after 49 minutes thanks to strikes from Renan Bressan and Fabio Martins.
Chaves squandered their two-goal advantage, with Tiago Silva and Machado hitting target in the 54th and 56th minute respectively.
Etebo had the final say nine minutes from time when he netted the third goal and the game-winner for CD Feirense, on the same day the Santa Maria da Feira club were celebrating their 99th anniversary.
The 21-year-old’s other goals this season came in Cup games against Tondela and Alcanenense.
Subject to getting the green light from the Consulado General Britanico in Madrid, the attacking midfielder will link up with the Nigeria squad early this week ahead of friendly matches with Senegal and Burkina Faso.
