Rohr Receives Good News From Chelsea Manager On Fitness Of Super Eagles Star Victor Moses
Published: April 07, 2017
Ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifying match against South Africa, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr received some very good news from Chelsea manager Antonio Conte regarding the fitness of Victor Moses.
Pedro had to deputize for Moses in the Blues clash with Crystal Palace after he failed a fitness test, while Cesar Azpilicueta started in the right wing-back position against Manchester City on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles star has resumed full training and is available for selection for the trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.
“He trained with us yesterday and today but I need to check the situation to make the best decision. He is available. There are no other injuries, ”Conte told reporters at Friday’s press conference.
Moses, 26, had pulled out of Nigeria’s international friendly with Senegal on March 23 because of a calf injury he sustained against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
This season, the former Wigan Athletic sensation has appeared 27 times in the Premier League, scoring 3 goals.
