Published: April 09, 2017
Henry Onyekuru inspired Eupen to a 2-0 road win over Royal Excel Mouscron in the latest round of matches played in the Belgian First Division A.
The attacker has been in scintillating form in recent weeks and opened the scoring at Stade Le Canonnier just after the half-hour mark, taking his tally to 17 goals in all competitions in the process.
Royal Excel Mouscron had been the better team but that goal from Onyekuru set Eupen on their way to a 2-0 victory.
Three Nigerians- Anthony Bassey, Odeni Jamabo and Onyekuru- were included in Eupen's starting eleven, and only the goalscorer was substituted in the 90th minute.
A product of Aspire Academy Senegal, the 19-year-old has been linked with possible moves to teams based in Scotland, Russia and Turkey ahead of the opening of the transfer window.
