West Ham Prepared To Pay English-Born Nigerian Star N3.5 Billion Per Season
Published: May 28, 2017
West Ham are prepared to meet Ross Barkley's wage demands in their bid to bring the England international to the London Stadium next season.
The Daily Star says Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will meet Barkley’s wage demands of £140,000 a week (around N3.5 billion per season in Nigerian currency).
Everton have almost given up in their attempt to persuade Barkley to sign a new contract, and everything indicates that the attacking midfielder might depart the club after 12 years.
West Ham face competition from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for the services of the 23-year-old.
Barkley was an important member of the Everton squad that qualified for the Europa League last season, scoring five goals in 36 Premier League appearances.
