Exclusive: Chelsea Looking To Offload Super Eagles Star This Summer
Published: June 14, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Premier League champs Chelsea are looking to offload Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo before the close of the summer transfer window.
The central defender is not in the plans of manager Antonio Conte and Technical director Michael Emenalo next season, and the Stamford Brige outfit are willing to sell him outright rather than farm him out on another season-long loan.
Since joining Chelsea in January 2012 from Sunshine Stars, Omeruo has yet to make a first team appearance for the Blues and has enjoyed loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.
The 23-year-old center back is understood to be attracting interest from unnamed clubs in France and Turkey.
Chelsea paid 800,000 pounds to take him from Sunshine Stars, with the Nigerian Professional Football League outfit inserting a ten percent sell-on clause into the deal.
