Swope Park Rangers 'Nigerian Nightmare' Wins USL Goal Of The Month

Former Dream Team VI trainee Nansel Selbol has scooped the United Soccer League Goal of the Month award for June 2017.
The Swope Park Rangers sensation was nominated for the accolade for his goal against LA Galaxy II on July 1, shortly after his introduction as a substitute.
Selbol beat off competition from Didier Drogba (Phoenix Rising FC), Brian Ownby (Louisville City FC), Dante Marini (Charleston Battery), Franck Tayou (Richmond Kickers), Seku Conneh (Bethlehem Steel FC), Andrew Wiedeman ( FC Cincinnati), Tyler Blackwood (Sacramento Republic FC), Romario Williams (Charleston Battery) and Kris Tyrpak (San Antonio FC.
The 20-year-old received 23 percent of the votes, narrowly edging Kris Tyrpak by one vote.
In the ongoing season, the attacking midfielder has played 12 matches for Swope Park Rangers, logging 707 minutes.
