Enyimba In Talks To Offer Nigeria Winger New Deal To Fend Off Interest From NPFL Rivals
Published: October 10, 2017
Nigeria Professional Football League powerhouse Enyimba have set the ball rolling in their bid to extend the contract of Nigeria national-teamer Joseph Osadiaye, according to his intermediary Eddy Ogbemudia.
But the Peoples' Elephant should act fast as a couple of their rivals in the NPFL and foreign clubs are ready to swoop, having made enquiries about his availability.
''We are not ruling out the possibility of Osadiaye joining another NPFL club within Nigeria before the end of the transfer window on November 14, 2017, '' said Ogbemudia to allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Also some foreign clubs option are still being considered since he is now a free player.
''I spoke extensively with the Club Chairman Chief Felix Anyasi Agwu and the Club Director of Football Jude Anyadufu last week, who will most likely table a new contract this week.
''Hopefully his future will be sorted out in the coming days, because we have several offers for him aside Enyimba.''
The versatile left-footed striker can play from any side of the wings and midfield and has earned two caps for the Super Eagles against Jordan and Ivory Coast, and was part of the NPFL All-Star team that toured Spain last year.
