Αnorthosis Famagusta Risk Losing Super Eagles MOTM Shehu Abdullahi For Free
Published: October 13, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Cypriot First Division club Anorthosis Famagusta are working on extending the contract of Nigeria international Shehu Abdullahi.
In less than three months, the Super Eagles defender can sign a preliminary contract with one of the teams interested in his signature, with his current agreement with Anorthosis Famagusta set to run out on May 31, 2018.
Assuming Shehu does not pen a contract extension, Anorthosis Famagusta won't be able to recoup their previous investment on the player.
Representatives of the former Kano Pillars star are believed to be in talks with clubs based in Turkey and Middle East, with a view to a summer move.
The Sokoto native has become an important member of the first team at Anorthosis Famagusta , having racked up 35 appearances for the club since arriving in September 2016.
Shehu Abdullahi won the Man of the Match award in Nigeria's 1-0 win over Zambia last Saturday.
