Ejaria, Adekanye Star As Liverpool U23 Beat Everton In Merseyside Derby
Published: November 19, 2017
Former Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria worked a full shift for the Reds and was impressive, Netherlands youth-teamer Bobby Adekanye played the last nine minutes and England U19 star Dennis Adeniran was on the bench for the Toffees.
Ejaria has yet to play a game for the first team of the Anfield side this term but has been catching the eye for the reserves, starting their last six matches in the league.
Herbie Kane and Corey Whelan scored to give Neil Critchley's side a 2-0 lead at the interval, then Rhian Brewster netted his first goal since his heroics at the Fifa U17 World Cup.
Yan Dhanda added more gloss to the scoreline in the 79th minute with Ejaria involved in the build-up to the goal.
Ovie Ejaria spent his youth career at Arsenal before transferring to Liverpool in 2014.
