Ejaria, Adekanye To Wait For Champions League Debut As Liverpool Announce Squad
Published: November 20, 2017
Ovie Ejaria and Bobby Adekanye have to wait for their Champions League debuts for Liverpool despite starring for Liverpool youth teams in the ongoing season.
Through their official website, Liverpool have announced the twenty three players summoned for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sevilla.
Newly capped England international of Nigerian parentage Dominic Solanke was in the traveling party that flew to Spain on Monday ahead of their Group E match at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Sturridge and Firmino making the squad list, everything indicates that the former Chelsea striker will start on the bench against the difficult opponents if he is included in the match day squad.
Including the playoff round, Solanke has appeared off the bench in two matches against TSG Hoffenheim and NK Maribor in this season's Champions League.
Liverpool's travelling squad: Karius, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Mane, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Can, Robertson, Ings, Solanke, Ward, Alexander-Arnold.
