15 — Nigeria's goalscorers at the World Cup. Fifteen different players have accounted for Nigeria's twenty goals at the World Cup, with Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amuneke, Kalu Uche and Ahmed Musa the only ones to have got two.

20 — Julius Aghahowa remain the youngest Nigeria to score at the World Cup competition at the age of
20 years, 3 months and 26 days. He had achieved this feat at the 2002 edition when his 27th minute strike put Nigeria ahead against Sweden, a game they would eventually go on to lose 2-1 — no thanks to a Henrik Larsson's double.

21 — The minute in which Nigeria's first ever in the World Cup was scored. Rashidi Yekini scored Nigeria's first goal in the tournament in a 3-0 win against Bulgaria, tapping in on the 21st minute to etch his name into the country's folklore. Emmanuel Amunike and Daniel Amokachi eventually got the other goals.

27 — The number of yellow cards Nigeria have accrued at the World Cup. 27 yellow cards have been brandished against the Super Eagles at the World Cup in the course of their five appearances, an average of five cautions per tournament.

32— Nigeria's oldest goalscorer in the World Cup. At the age of 32 years, 11 months and 6 days, Peter Odemwingie became the oldest player to score for the Super Eagles at the mundial. The goal came against Bosnia- Herzegovina on the 21st of June 2014 at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá. The goal turned out to be the winner on the day, securing Nigeria's passage to the next round.

34 — Nigeria's oldest player at the World Cup. Legendary goalkeeper Peter Rufai is the oldest Eagle to feature at the FIFA World Cup, at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 4 days.

His last game for the African giants came in the 4-1 defeat by Denmark on the 28th of June, 1998.
