Ex-Super Eagles Invitee Ebere Eze Scores Again For Wycombe Wanderers
Published: November 26, 2017
Former Super Eagles invitee Eberechi Eze wrote his name on the score-sheet as Wycombe Wanderers beat Yeovil Town 2-1 in a League Two clash at Adams Park on Saturday.
On 37 minutes, the 19-year-old broke the deadlock with a first time shot from inside the penalty area, Jacobson doubled the hosts advantage before Zoke netted what proved to be a consolation with a minute left to play in the half.
Queens Park Rangers loanee Eze has bagged five goals for Wycombe Wanderers in the league, including three in his last three home matches.
Manager of the Chairboys, Gareth Ainsworth, was pleased with the performance of Eberechi Eze, saying he's thriving at the club because of the presence of Adebayo Akinfenwa.
He said in his post-match comments :''It’s a good win. I was really disappointed we let them back in the game; it was a poor mistake. But we kept spirits up & did a professional job.
''Ebs is a special talent. Bayo enables him to play that way, and Dayle did really well too.''
Former Arsenal schoolboy Eze trained with the Super Eagles in March during their get-together in London.
