The official website of the German Bundesliga have been previewing the 2018 World Cup draw that will be held in the Russian capital on Friday evening, starting from 1800 hours local time.
And in their analysis, they have predicted that Nigeria will be difficult opponents for Germany if both countries meet in the group stage, and have listed Chelsea's Victor Moses and Arsenal wonderkid Alex Iwobi among the top stars the country will parade at the mundial.
''Nigeria , with an average age of 24.9 years , is the youngest of the 32 teams that will compete in the next World Cup . Germany is second with 25.7,'' stated bundesliga.com.
''With six appearances in the last seven editions, the Nigerian team is one of the classics at the World Cup. Nobody could beat them in the qualifying phase.
''Obi Mikel keeps sending with an iron arm in the midfield, Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses put the speed up and Kelechi Iheanacho makes the difference.
''Directed by the German Gernot Rohr , the Nigerians are an always complicated rival. In defense, Leon Balogun (Mainz 05), is another key player. ''
Germany are the second most successful team in the World Cup, with four titles won in total, including the last edition in Brazil.
