The contracts of three Manchester United stars have been extended by twelve months after the club activated clauses in their deals, according to reports.
Sky Sports has reported that United have extended the contracts of Daley Blind, Ashley Young and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone until 2019, after exercising options in their contracts.
The trio would have worked away from Old Trafford as free agents in the summer if their contracts were not prolonged.
Johnstone has spent the last fourteen months at Aston Villa, making 56 appearances in all competitions while posting 22 shutouts.
Netherlands star Daley Blind who joined the Red Devils in 2014 from hometown club Ajax Amsterdam has seen his first team opportunities limited in the current season due to a Malleolar injury but started all the matches in the group stage of the Champions League.
