Nigeria's Best Moses Impresses As Chelsea Set Up FA Cup Final Date With Man Utd
Published: April 22, 2018
Chelsea moved into the finals of the Emirates FA on Sunday afternoon after beating Southampton 2-0 in their semifinal meeting at Wembley.
Victor Moses made his second FA Cup appearance for the Blues this season and was impressive while Argentine goalkeeper, Willy Caballero was also preferred in goal by Chelsea.
Caballero was forced into action to stop Charlie Austin's attempt from distance after 24 minutes while Willian struck the post at the opposite end in the first period.
But it didn't take long for Chelsea to open scoring after the break, Olivier Giroud bringing down and tucking home from a deft Eden Hazard's cross in the 46th minute.
Alvaro Morata wrapped up victory in the 82nd minute, two minutes after coming on, the Spanish striker nodding down and past Alex McCarthy courtesy of a Cesar Azpilicueta's cross.
With the result, Antonio Conte's men have now set up a meeting with Manchester United who beat Tottenham 2-1 in the other semifinal game yesterday. The showpiece would be staged at Wembley later next month.
