Eagles Workout: Simon Sidelined, Ndidi Individual Session, Positive News On Awaziem Injury
Published: May 27, 2018The Super Eagles had their last training session on Sunday evening ahead of the international friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo in Port Harcourt, allnigeriasoccer.com is reporting.
If the workout held at the Shell Ground is anything to go by, two players have been ruled out of the friendly against the Leopards.
Gent winger Moses Simon did not take part in any of the training activities today and watched his teammates from the sidelines.
Rohr announced during a team meeting before the squad left their hotel for training that the result of the scan is not looking good, but has not officially stated whether or not he's out of the World Cup.
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi carried out another personal training for the fifth successive day but jogged with the team at the start of the session.
Meanwhile, the positive news is that Porto starlet Chidozie Awaziem participated in full training today after suffering a knock in the process of blocking a shot from Kelechi Iheanacho in yesterday's session.
The central defender will start on the bench against Democratic Republic of Congo, only for tactical reasons and not as a result of injury.
