Rohr Gives Reasons Why Victor Moses Is Not Joining Eagles Today As Advised By Fifa
Published: May 28, 2018
Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has explained why Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has not yet reported for international duty.
Based on the recommendations from Fifa, the Blues number fifteen should have joined the national team at their get-together in Port Harcourt before the day ends but today, May 28, is his wedding anniversary.
''Victor Moses has one week rest, you know he had a long season,'' Rohr told reporters, including allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He's also celebrating the first anniversary of his marriage, so I gave him two days more, he will wait for us in London.''
The former Bayern Munich defender has given reasons why the first leg of the Super Eagles World Cup training camp was held in Uyo and Port Harcourt, and has played down suggestions that they have a hectic schedule.
''The young people like to move, when you move you can learn some things and you are not bored.
''If you are in the same place for three weeks, it can be frustrating. I think it is interesting especially for the players in Europe to see the passion in the country and the expectations from Nigerians.
''It is interesting not to stay only in an isolated place,'' added Gernot Rohr.
