Victor Moses Named In Chelsea Squad To Face Inter, Battling Ola Aina For Right Wing Roles
Published: July 27, 2018
Victor Moses is in line to play his first pre-season game when Chelsea tackle Inter Milan on Saturday evening, with new manager Maurizio Sarri including the Nigeria international on the roster.
Chelsea have published photos via their Twitter account showing the Blues on their way to the airport, and Moses was one of the first-team players sighted as well as England U21 star of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea Academy product Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Kenneth Omeruo made the squad list.
As well as Ola Aina, Moses is challenging Davide Zappacosta, Pedro Rodríguez, Willian (if he remains) and César Azpilicueta for the right-wing positions in the new season.
The former Crystal Palace man didn't feature in the Blues friendly against Perth Glory on Monday as he was in England undergoing fitness training, having just reported for pre-season.
Apart from tomorrow's tie against Inter in Nice, Chelsea will play two more friendlies, one against Arsenal (August 1) and the other with Olympique Lyonnais (August 7), before their Premier League opener vs Huddersfield Town on August 11.
