Brighton & Hove Confirm Squad Number For Leon Balogun
Published: August 08, 2018
Brighton & Hove have assigned squad numbers to the first team players ahead of their first competitive game of the 2018-2019 campaign, a Premier League tie at Isaac Success's Watford on Saturday, August 11.
The Seagulls have confirmed that summer signing Leon Balogun will wear the number 14 jersey.
The number 14 shirt is the same number he used while on the books of SV Darmstadt 98 during the 2014-2015 season, but the most recurring number he has played with is three, which he wore at Türkiyemspor Berlin, Fortuna Düsseldorf and his last club Mainz.
Balogun was allocated the number 28 jersey at Hannover 96 and handed the number 37 kit in his two seasons with SV Werder Bremen.
Cameroon international defender Gaetan Bong has already taken Balogun's preferred number three jersey while central midfielder Dale Stephens will wear number six, which the Nigerian was assigned at the 2018 World Cup.
Balogun's contract with Brighton & Hove is for two seasons.
