After an eventful weekend which saw the resumption of a new footballing season, allnigeriasoccer rolls out its Team of the Week thus :
Goalkeeper
Sebastian Osigwe (SC Kriens): Osigwe was between the sticks for Kriens in their 1-1 draw with Winterthur in the Swiss Challenge League at the Stadion Schützenwiese.
Defenders
William Troost-Ekong (Bursaspor): Balogun opened his season goal account for the Green Crocodiles in a narrow 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super League.
Godswill Ekpolo (BK Häcken): The former Barcelona youth-teamer put in an assist in Häcken's 5-0 thrashing of Djurgardens at the Braveda Arena in a Swedish Allsvenskan game.
Mandela Egbo (Borussia Monchengladbach): The 20-year-old got in among the goals for his side at the Borussia Park in a 5-1 pre-season thumping of FC Wegberg-Beeck.
Midfielders
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City): The Super Eagles midfielder was one of the star performers in The Foxes 2-1 loss to Manchester United in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
Diallang Jaiyesimi (Yeovil Town): The winger opened his goal account for Town in a 2-2 draw with Mansfield Town in a League Two encounter at Huish Park.
James Adeniyi (Qabala): Adeniyi netted a league debut goal for his club as they claimed a comprehensive 3-0 win over Sabail in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
David Bakare (Connah's Quay Nomads): The 31-year-old helped himself to two goals in his side's 7-0 thrashing of Llanelli Town in the Welsh Premier League.
