Manchester United 0 Tottenham 3: Nigerian CM In 18 After Lamela Gets Injured In Warm-Up
Published: August 27, 2018
Tottenham made light work of Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford in their Premier League meeting on Monday evening, thanks to a fantastic second half performance from the visitors.
Nigerian midfielder Luke Amos, 21, traveled with Spurs for their third game of the campaign but was not afforded his second league appearance from the bench. United's Nigerian defender, Matthew Olosunde remains out of favour.
Only 16 days ago, the 21-year-old had made his Premier League bow for Spurs in their 2-1 win over Newcastle at St James Park when he came on for the final two minutes to replace Eric Dier and his inclusion today was the second time he had made the matchday squad in a competitive game for the club.
However, manager, Mauricio Pochettino will not summon the player off the bench throughout the encounter, opting for substitutes Serge Aurier, Ben Davies and Harry Winks instead.
A second-half double from Lucas Moura alongside another effort from Harry Kane helped Tottenham see off their opponents to continue their hundred percent start to the new season.
Tottenham Hotspur will square off against Isaac Success's Watford in their last domestic fixture before the first international break of the 2018-19 campaign.
