SC Freiburg GK Atubolu, Wolfsburg's Uduokhai Among Four Players Of Nigerian Descent In Germany Squads The German Football Association have announced the rosters for their age-grade teams ahead of upcoming international matches in September 2018, with four players of Nigerian descent set to be on international duties.

Defenders Jordan Torunarigha (Hertha BSC) and Felix Uduokhai (Wolfsburg) who are both on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation, with a view to an invitation to the Super Eagles, have been named on the Germany U21 roster for a friendly against Mexico and a European U21 Championship qualifier vs Republic of Ireland.

Torunarigha's impressive display against FC Nuremberg last weekend earned him a Team of the Week honours, while Uduokhai was an unused substitute on the opening day of the Bundesliga.

SC Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu and FC Liefering striker Karim-David Adeyemi have been selected in Germany U17 squad for a Four Nations Tournament that also involves the Italian, Dutch and Israeli national teams.

Adeyemi has been promoted to the U17s after scoring 2 goals in 6 matches for the U16s last season, while Atubolu is hoping to win his first ever cap for Germany after he was an unused substitute in May against France U16s in a friendly.

West Berlin-born Brighton & Hove defender Leon Balogun was eligible to represent his country of birth, Germany before making his competitive debut for the Super Eagles in an AFCON qualifier against Tanzania in September 2016.
