Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi has reported for international duty in Victoria ahead of Saturday's crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi and Italian-based pair Ola Aina and William Troost-Ekong have been excused from the game as the players are either ill or recovering from injuries.

Hapoel Beer Sheva star John Ogu is expected to partake in training on Wednesday as he will link up with his international teammates same day, while goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was not sighted training with the national team on Tuesday.

Onyekuru, Omeruo, Uzoho, Semi Ajayi, Samuel Kalu, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Awaziem, Nwakali and Bryan Idowu had their breakfast at the team hotel this morning, before they were joined by Simeon Nwankwo, Joel Obi, Ahmed Musa, Onazi, Ighalo, Etebo, Balogun and Jamilu Collins.

In preparation for Wednesday's workout on grass, the 18 players in camp played foot-volleyball amongst themselves this afternoon.

The Super Eagles lost 2-0 to South Africa in their opening game in Group E of the AFCON qualifiers, while their next opponents Seychelles were spanked by Libya.
