Being An Unused Sub Vs Seychelles Not In Kalu's Dictionary As Bordeaux Winger Says He Here To Play
Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu fancies fancies his chances of making his debut for the Super Eagles when they trade tackles with Seychelles in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in two days times.

The former Gent starlet is one of four players called up to the national team for the first time by manager Gernot Rohr, the others being Kelechi Nwakali, Jamilu Collins and Semi Ajayi.

In an interview with Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, Kalu said : ''My name is Samuel Kalu, I play for Bordeaux, I am 21 years old.

''I am here to represent my fatherland, Nigeria, so I am here to give everything to the Super Eagles. It's my first national call-up, I am here to play and make the country proud.''

Asked what to expect from the match against the Pirates on Saturday, Kalu replied : ''I know we are expecting to win here, so we need to give everything to make Nigerians happy.

''The team, we just need to work work hard and try whatever we have to do and win the game.''

Kalu has appeared in five matches for Bordeaux since joining the Ligue 1 club in the summer transfer window but he's still searching for his first goal.
