Chelsea Loanee Tomori Reacts After Pocketing Manchester United's Strongest Player
Published: September 26, 2018Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori was delighted after Derby County sealed their passage to the fourth round of the League Cup with a penalty shootout 8-7 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
The Nigerian central defender was impressive for the Rams against the Red Devils top class attackers, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.
Tomori did a good job disrupting Lukaku, who is United's strongest player and the fourth in the world according to the FIFA 19 Players ratings.
Of the ten Manchester United outfield players that started against Derby County, Lukaku touched the ball the least, 31 in total despite going the distance.
Writing on Twitter, Tomori stated : ''These are the nights you play football for!! What a win and performance from the boys today!
''To play the way we did at Old Trafford isnât easy and to keep our composure after conceding early and late was unbelievable! NEXT ROUND BABYđđ. ''
Tomori has helped Derby County to keep five clean-sheets in 11 appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
