Arsenal Product Fela Scores For Yeovil Town But Bad News For Teammate Jaiyesimi
Published: September 26, 2018
The Nigerian contingent at League Two club Yeovil Town, Omar Sowunmi and Diallang Jaiyesimi, all started in their 1-1 draw with Milton Keynes Dons at the Huish Park Stadium in Somerset on Tuesday evening.
While Fela and the giant defender Sowunmi played the full game, striker Jaiyesimi had to be stretchered off the pitch in the 23rd minute following a bad tackle from MK Dons midfielder Alexander Gilbey.
Jaiyesimi, who has been loaned out by Norwich City, faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a nasty-looking injury.
Kieran Agard's strike in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time gave the visitors the lead heading into the interval.
Two minutes from time, Fela emphatically picked out the bottom corner after he was played in by Green and leveled matters for Yeovil Town.
The Arsenal product has now tallied nine goals in total, all of them for Yeovil Town, since turning professional.
Following their fourth win of the season, The Glovers have climbed into the top six.
