Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Has Positive News On That Injury Suffered Against Valencia
Published: October 21, 2018Kenneth Omeruo has positive news on the injury he suffered which led to his substitution in the 69th minute of Leganés' 1-1 draw with Valencia at Estadio de Mestalla on Saturday, October 20.
CD Leganes confirmed during the game that the Nigeria international defender had to make way for Raúl after picking up an injury.
But the Super Eagles star was quick to inform that he hopes to be fit for Leganés' next La Liga match against Levante in six days time.
Everything will become clearer when Leganes return to training on Monday morning at ID Butarque, starting from 1030 hours. The players were given today off.
Writing on social media, Omeruo stated : ''Good to have my first start in Laliga.. tough game so proud of my team mates for the efforts they put in.. time to rest well and recover for the next game.. ''.
Galatasaray's Henry Onyekuru, Torino's Joel Obi and Bursaspor's Abdullahi Shehu are listed as out ahead of next month's crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
