Official: IK Sirius Captain Moses Ogbu Departs Swedish Club At The End Of 2018 Season
Published: November 02, 2018Swedish Allsvenskan side IK Sirius have announced that Nigerian striker Moses Ogbu will depart the club at the end of the 2018 season.
The 27-year-old is expected to play his last home game for IK Sirius when they take on Kalmar at Studenternas IP (Uppsala) and it would be his 185th appearance for the club he joined nine seasons ago.
''I've been thinking about this for a long time. It has been an honor to play for this club for so long and to be part of all that we have accomplished here,'' says Ogbu to IK Sirius official website.
''I'm full of pride and joy over it. But now I'm 27 years old and I think it's the right place to take the next step in my career, for me and my family.
''It was a difficult decision to take, but sometimes you come to a stage in life where you have to make a decision.''
This season, Ogbu captained IK Sirius and has scored seven goals in 26 appearances in the Swedish topflight.
