Philip Billing Insists Relegation-Threatened Huddersfield Town Will Not Throw In The Towel
Published: January 01, 2019
Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Philip Billing has insisted that Huddersfield Town will not throw in the towel as they battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Terriers are the bottom team in the English top flight after a record-equaling seventh straight defeat against Fulham last weekend.
Billing has pointed out that Town struggled for most part of last season but their top flight status was guaranteed at the end of the campaign and he's confident that the West Yorkshire club can repeat the feat again.
''It's a strain (being where we are), but nobody ever told us it was going to be easy in the Premier League,'' Billing told Examiner Live.
''Last season we survived and I don't see why we can't again, taking every game at a time we just need that one game to turn it around and get that win. Once we get that anything can happen.
''Right now it seems it's hard, but we have to show some character and just keep being positive.''
The 22-year-old Billing has 35 Premier League appearances to his name since joining Huddersfield Town from Esbjerg's youth team.
